Marine Life: Dense schools of bigeye trevally, barracuda, yellow-lined snapper and Moses perch; Grey, whitetip and blacktip reef sharks in the deeper water; The wall of anemones with dozens of clownfish; Green turtles and wobbegong sharks; Macro life: nudibranchs, pipefish, leafy scorpionfish, lionfish, mantis shrimps.
Hazards: The base of the pinnacle sits at 30 metres, watch gas and bottom time; Current can pick up around the pinnacle, bringing the schools in tight; Remote liveaboard-only site, about 160 kilometres from Cairns, dive conservatively.
Facilities: Liveaboard access only, on multi-day Ribbon Reef expeditions from Cairns and Port Douglas; Nitrox available on the liveaboard vessels; Dived alongside the Cod Hole and other Ribbon Reef sites.
