Albany, WA
Sunk as a purpose dive wreck under the Perth Artificial Reef Project, the destroyer is largely intact with deck guns, masts, torpedo tubes and helicopter hangar still recognisable. The deck sits at around 24 metres and the keel at 35. Penetration is restricted to trained wreck divers, but external swims around the bridge, funnel and stern are accessible to advanced open-water divers. Marine growth has built up substantial sponge cover and resident schools of bullseyes and sweep. Charters run year-round from Albany when conditions allow.
