Investigator Group

The Investigator Group is a remote chain of islands roughly 70 km offshore from Elliston on the west coast of Eyre Peninsula, sitting inside the Investigator Marine Park. Charter trips run from Streaky Bay or Coffin Bay across multiple days to access the group, covering Pearson Island, Flinders Island, Topgallant Island and the Ward Islands. The diving is reef-and-boulder country with caverns, swim-throughs and dense sponge habitat. Endangered Australian sea lions and long-nosed fur seals breed on the islands. Conditions are exposed and trips are weather-dependent.
