About Roe Reef
The reef sits a short boat ride from Rottnest's main settlement at Thomson Bay and offers undulating limestone structure with small caves, overhangs and sandy patches. Tropical strays from the Leeuwin Current mix with the endemic temperate fish population. Conditions are generally sheltered and visibility is consistent year-round, making it Rottnest's go-to introduction dive.
